Why are people selling their homes to investors?

The last two years have caused the real estate market to create complicated matters for sellers. Previously, Zion REI focused on distressed sellers. However, today is different.

Many of our clients are well-off homeowners looking for an easier solution. Selling to an investor means that homeowners get a fast & easy offer with no inspections with a fast closing.  Sellers may also receive a higher price for their home as investors are willing to pay more for a property that is ready to go.

Homeowners looking to sell should consult with an agent about the MLS and off-market solutions. Sellers who want to avoid commissions, repairs, or inspections should strongly consider selling their home to an investor.

An additional benefit is that our clients get to have more flexibility when purchasing their next home. Our clients get a flexible move-out date and don't have contingencies when they purchase their next home.  Sellers who are looking to sell as-is on the MLS may decrease their value when they sell. By selling to an investor they may not make more money and earn more when they sell off-market and pay no commissions.

Sometimes sellers are worried that they will get less than market value when selling to an investor.  Sellers who sell as is may get less than market value because of the lack of inspections and contingencies. However, with slightly less than market value comes assurances that our clients never get when they sell on the MLS.

Sellers should strongly consider selling to an investor when they seek an easy and stress-free sale.  Sellers will sell as is and never have to worry about making any repairs. In addition, sellers can set a date for the sale and receive their money in as little as seven days after closing.

Newsflash!!

Sellers are not happy with having to make repairs when they Sell on the MLS because it decreases the net value of their home.  Sellers also don't like that they have to wait for weeks or even months to close.

While selling off-market to an investor may seem new it's been around for a long time.  Sellers have been selling to investors for years. Sellers are just more aware of it now because there are so many companies that buy houses.

It's no wonder that more and more sellers are selling their homes to investors!
